Privacy Policy
App: Brightery Vault · Developer/operator: Brightery · Updated: September 10, 2026
This policy explains how Brightery Vault handles information needed to provide vault, authentication, sync, security and membership services. We do not sell personal information and the app contains no advertising SDK.
1. Information we handle
- Account information: email address, name if provided, language, account status and membership plan.
- Vault content: passwords, OTP/TOTP secrets, recovery codes, private notes and files that you choose to save. Vault content is stored in encrypted form.
- Device and security information: connected device/token names and timestamps, plus protected security audit records. To reduce abuse, the server may process hashes derived from IP address and browser/device information.
- Subscription information: membership status and provider customer/subscription identifiers. Full payment-card details are handled by the payment provider you choose, not stored by Brightery Vault.
2. Why we use information
We use information only to create and protect accounts, synchronize encrypted Vault records, generate OTPs, connect trusted devices, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, provide support and meet applicable legal obligations.
3. Device permissions
- Camera: used only when you choose to scan a login or authenticator QR code.
- Biometrics: used only for optional local quick unlock. Fingerprint or face templates are handled by your device operating system and are not uploaded to Brightery Vault.
- Files: accessed only when you choose a file to import, upload, export or restore.
4. Third-party services
The app interacts with third parties only when you choose those functions, such as Google or Facebook sign-in, or Stripe, PayPal or Paymob payment. Those providers process information you give them under their own privacy terms.
5. Retention and security
We use access controls, encryption, token hashing and security auditing. Account data is generally retained while the account is active. When you delete the account, associated Vault data is deleted, while limited records may be retained when required for legal, financial or security obligations.
6. Your choices and rights
You can edit your profile, export an encrypted backup, revoke connected devices and delete your account and associated Vault data from inside the app. For other privacy requests, contact us through the support page below.
7. Children
Brightery Vault is intended for users who can legally create an account and manage their own digital credentials. We do not knowingly collect children's information for advertising or profiling.
8. Mainland China
If you are in mainland China, we process information subject to applicable personal-information requirements. Optional third-party sign-in, payment or sync functions may involve service providers or infrastructure outside mainland China; review this policy and the relevant provider information before choosing those features.
